Summary

This article is entitled Increasing Cultural Awareness through a Cultural Awareness Program. The research problems is about the racial tension which can motivate strife and violence. This journal use CAC (Cultural Awareness Consortium) solution to solve and build positive effects toward the group of diverse student to increase the awareness of multicultural relation. The student from many region are selected are put in the same area or class, they sit together, work collaboratively on projects and engage each other on the reflective learning. The student shows positive response after having this CAC program for about 4 months. The students share their history, customs and native language. This makes them learn a lot about others and understanding each other. Though they come from different background, this CAC build their great relations.

Implication

The method  used in this research is good enough to be implemented in the classroom. Although this method may be a bit difficult to be implemented, I am still positive enough to elaborate this method and other method so that the goal of building the cultural awareness can be achieved.
