Summary
This article talks about The Effect of Using Authentic
Materials on the tenth grade students’ reading comprehension achievement. This
research was done by using quasi-experimental with non equivalent pretest and
post-test design. The result of this research is that the use of authentic
materials has significant effect to the students’ reading comprehension
achievement. It can be concluded that teaching English using authentic
materials may improve the students’ reading comprehension and their knowledge
since authentic materials may express the real world situation.
