Summary
This research is about an action
research which aims to improve learners’ reading comprehension and vocabulary
mastery of undergraduate students of ESP-explosive majors at a police training
institute in Colombia. This research used qualitative method that the data was
collected from the field notes, artifacts, progress review, surveys, and
photographs. The researcher designed six reading comprehension workshops based
on the cognitive language learning approach [CALLA] to improve the reading
skills and to teach their autonomy in using the learning strategy.
Application
This research helps me to be braver
in doing a research qualitatively and gives me more understanding about the
CALLA.
